How to Keep the TEA Party Momentum Going
I was on a conference call yesterday with a bunch of limited government community organizers discussing next steps for the tea party protest movement. We talked about how to keep the pressure on lawmakers, and how this movement can be successful in the long term. I wanted to take a minute to share my thoughts on this, and encourage all of you to post your ideas in the comments section below.
1. Stay active and organized. Don’t let the momentum fade away by becoming dormant. Keep the fire lit with regular meetings, regular communications using Yahoo groups or facebook. Keep your volunteers active, and always give them something productive to do.
2. Get some political training. Take advantage of institutions like FreedomWorks, Campaign for Liberty and The Leadership Institute that offer grassroots leadership training. Read books about organizing, and apply the best practices to your own group.
3. Recruit new people to the cause. Take advantage of the national media attention and find people that want to get involved in the movement. Focus on getting all of your volunteers to bring new people to each meeting, and motivate the new members to get involved in specific activities right away.
4. Plan a tea party outside your congressman’s district office. Locations can easily be found on the House of Representatives website. Let’s direct our focus to individual congressmen who need to hear from us. If they vote correctly, have a positive tea party, thanking them. If they vote incorrectly, punish them with bad publicity.
5. Get in touch with the other community organizers around your state and start planning a Day at the State Capitol, which should consist of a rally, press conference and grassroots visits with legislators. Hold these during session when legislators are present. Focus on three important issues and hammer your points home to legislators and the media.
These are just some practical ideas for turning the tea party movement into a constructive, influential and growing movement. There are plenty of other great ways to stay active, but always keep in mind that you should constantly be thinking about ways to recruit new members, train your leadership and stay active with regular meetings and events.
People must be given productive things to do, or they may lose interest in your group. There are plenty of ways to stay involved with FreedomWorks and a host of other great organizations. Please check our website frequently and sign up to our email list to ensure that you are aware of opportunities to make a difference in the fight for lower taxes, less government and more freedom.

The F.B.I. Spied And Reported On Your TEA Party
Posted April 22, 2009 by: Erin at Right Soup
This is according to a concerned FBI agent, who has leaked to Canada Free Press that Americans were spied upon by the Agency at TEA parties around the country. An FBI agent risked his own career, according to this report- covert surveillance was “planned and performed” at each of the TEA parties that took place last Tuesday.
Listen to what I am saying,” the source said during an interview with Doug Hagmann, founder of the Northeast Intelligence Network. (NEIN). “The Department of Homeland Security Intelligence Assessment that is receiving so much attention is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg, and the true patriotic citizens of this country are on the Titanic.
There have been very significant changes made over the last few years that redirect the focus and assets of the intelligence community internally. These changes have greatly accelerated under this administration, and the threats have been redefined to include those who used to be patriots. It’s not only chilling but absolutely insulting to God-fearing Americans.”
Canada Free Press/Northeast Intelligence Network considers their source “impeachable.” They identify him as the same agent who provided NEIN excluseive, unreleased photographs of 11 missing Egyptian students who were the subject of a FBI BOLO in August 2006.
NEIN says he placed his concerns for true patriots of the U.S. over his own career when he confided that covert surveillance was “planned and performed” at each of the TEA parties.
“A single-page confidential directive issued by the FBI headquarters in Washington, DC…was sent to each of the 56 field offices located across the United States on or about March 23, 2009, instructing the Special Agents in Charge of those offices to verify the date, time and location of each TEA Party within their region and supply that information to FBI headquarters in Washington.”
“The implications to the citizens of the U.S. are ominous. It seems that there is a hostile political agenda coming from Washington that characterizes the supporters of our constitutional freedoms as threats to our domestic security, which is totally absurd. The redirection, the refocusing of domestic threats from al Qaeda cells to ‘flag waving right-wingers’ is something that has gone from a murmur a few years ago to a roar today.”
The source stated this correspondence termed the TEA parties “political demonstrations,” and added that the dissemination of the directive was very tightly controlled. “Not all agents were privy to this correspondence,” stated the source, who compared the dissemination to an older “Do Not File” classification.
In addition to obtaining or confirming the location and time of each “demonstration,” each field office was instructed to obtain or confirm the identity of the individual(s) involved in the actual planning and coordination of the event in each specific region, and include the local or regional Internet web site address, if any. The information collected by region was then reportedly sent to FBI Headquarters.
The source alleges that a second directive was issued on or about April 6, 2009 that reportedly instructed each SAC to coordinate and conduct, either at the field office level and/or with the appropriate resident agency, covert video surveillance and data collection of the participants of the TEA parties. Surveillance was to be performed from “discreet fixed or mobile positions” and was to be performed “independently and outside of the purview of local law enforcement.”
The information was reportedly submitted to Washington, where, “at the level of the National Security Branch (NSB), this information was to “include the office of the Directorate of Intelligence (DI), and integrated with a restricted access database, one that reportedly is accessible to only two agencies” (of the 14 agencies that comprise the U.S. intelligence community), according to the source.
Why don’t you just let this info sink in for a bit. And make some decisions.
Will TEA Parties ‘throw bums out’ in 2010?
April 25, 2009 12:30 am Eastern By Drew Zahn © 2009 WorldNetDaily
Polls show bailout madness serious threat to GOP incumbents. Crowds have long protested Congress with rally cries of “Throw the bums out,” and if recent polls tabulating tea party furor over government spending translate to votes in 2010, angry Americans may make good on their mantra.
Polls released by Rasmussen Reports this week demonstrate that – at least within the Republican Party – sitting incumbents who vote for increased government, taxes and federal bailouts risk voter backlash in the next election.
Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., for example, is one of only three Republicans in Congress to vote for President Obama’s $787 billion stimulus plan. According to a Rasmussen poll released this morning, the 28-year senator now trails his 2004 GOP primary rival Pat Toomey in the polls by 21 points: 51 percent of Pennsylvania Republicans say they’d vote for Toomey in a 2010 primary, while just 30 percent would support Specter.
A separate Rasmussen poll demonstrated that 58 percent of Specter’s Republican constituents cited his support of the stimulus package as reason for their waning support.
When asked in December about a possible challenger in the 2010 election, Specter told CNN’s “Late Edition,” “I never look over my shoulder, never look behind. Somebody may be gaining on me. I run with blinders. I’ll be prepared, whoever my opponents are.”
If Specter continues to vote in favor of increased government spending, however, his most troubling opponents in 2010 may not be from the Republican or the Democratic Party, but from the “tea” parties.
As WND has reported, on or around April 15, citizens gathered in nearly 2,000 U.S. cities to issue a coast-to-coast protest of increased government control, taxes and spending. More than 350 “tea party” protests are planned again for Independence Day.”
“We are leading a revolution, and this is the first day of that revolution,” Sacramento tea party organizer Mark Meckler said before the crowd that gathered at the California capitol. “Politicians will no longer be able to divide our nation. They are taking our money, and we aren’t going to stand here and take it anymore.”
WND’s Chelsea Schilling was at the Sacramento rally, reporting on the “sea of red, white and blue U.S. flags waved above a large crowd that surrounded the building and spilled into city streets.”
“We’ve had it!” Meckler shouted. “We’re tired of being punished by politicians!”
According to Schilling, the crowd cheered wildly and drowned out Meckler’s voice, chanting, “Vote them out! Vote them out!”
According to the Rasmussen polls, it’s a chant Republican incumbents in particular need to heed.
In Specter’s state, the poll found that 79 percent of Pennsylvania Republicans have a favorable opinion of the tea parties, and 30 percent knew someone personally who attended. Overall, 82 percent of Pennsylvania Republicans agree with the partiers that the federal government has too much money and too much power.
Nationally, Rasmussen reports that 51 percent of all Americans view the tea parties favorably, while 33 percent view them unfavorably. Among Republicans, however, the number climbs to 83 percent favorable.
Rasmussen also created a unique distinction in polling numbers by separating results into “Mainstream” voters and “Political Class” voters, which produces an even more dramatic referendum on the tea parties.
Rasmussen poll respondents were categorized Mainstream if their answers to three questions indicate that they trust the judgment of the public more than political leaders, view the federal government as a special interest group and believe that big business and big government work together against the interests of investors and consumers. Political Class respondents answered in the opposite of Mainstream views.
According to Rasmussen, the Mainstream perspective is generally shared nearly equally across the spectrum by Democrats, Republicans and affiliated respondents. Polls further indicated that 55 percent of Americans are Mainstream and only 7 percent fall into the Political Class; when “leaners” are included, 75 percent lean toward the more populist views and 14 percent lean the other way.
When examining the tea party movement in those terms, not only do Mainstream Republicans overwhelmingly back the tea party protests, but Rasmussen also discovered that 54 percent of Mainstream Democrats held a favorable opinion as well.
Furthermore, when separating the tea party gatherings themselves out of the equation, Rasmussen discovered Americans overwhelmingly support the protesters’ ideals of smaller government, lower taxes and less federal spending.
According to a Rasmussen poll earlier this week, 60 percent of Americans agree that the government has too much power and too much money. Among Republicans, 88 percent agree, while 62 percent of unaffiliated respondents and 35 percent of Democrats agree.
When factoring in the divide between Mainstream and Political Class respondents, however, Rasmussen discovered that a whopping 85 percent of Mainstream Americans – regardless of political party affiliation – agree with the common tea party protest that the government has too much power and too much money.

Tea party ‘extremists’ rock and reload July 4
Posted: May 11, 2009 8:49 pm Eastern By Chelsea Schilling © 2009 WorldNetDaily
The American Family Association is now sponsoring Independence Day tea parties in more than 640 U.S. cities in all 50 states.
The Taxed Enough Already, or TEA, parties will be held at 12 p.m. in front of city halls across the nation.
“Our goal is simply to keep the grassroots organizations mobilized,” said Michael DePrimo, special counsel to AFA President Tim Wildmon. “We don’t want people to think of it as a one-time event and then have it fall by the wayside.”
AFA is hosting a Tea Party Day website so volunteer organizers may register their protests.
Planning to attend an Independence Day tea party? Don’t forget to order your “Don’t tread on me” Gadsen flag! Buy one now at WND’s online store.
The group encourages tea party attendees to bring cell phones and call the president, 202-456-1414, and Congress, 202-224-3121, while attending the rallies.
DePrimo told WND the recent Tax Day protests were extremely popular and successful. A new poll reveals many Americans support beliefs of tax protest organizers.
According to a Zogby poll commissioned by the O’Leary Report that was released April 28, the survey of 3,937 voters in the last election shows a full 57.1 percent of respondents somewhat or strongly support beliefs of tea party organizers, while 39.3 percent somewhat or strongly opposed them.
The margin of error is +/-1.6 percent, according to Zogby.
Even 52.6 percent of respondents with no tax liability supported the tea party movement while only 41.8 percent did not. Of those with tax liability, 58 percent supported the protests while 39.4 percent did not.
Military service members and their families (60.7 percent expressed support) were more likely to support the core beliefs of tea party movement than their non-military peers (48.5 percent expressed support).
AFA lists hundreds of tea party organizers who are scheduled to coordinate the July 4 events, and it is adding more by the day. DePrimo said volunteers who do not see their location on the list should visit the Tea Party Day website to add their tea party information.

Become a card carrying Right-Wing Extremist
A recent Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Threat Assessment specifically branded pro-life, pro-
veteran, and pro-Second Amendment citizens — as well as those who simply believe in a limited federal government — as right-wing extremists and terror threats! This outrageous report is symptomatic of the animosity our Nation’s new leadership holds toward people of faith and patriots who love our country.
This pattern of profiling Americans according to their faith and their support of traditional values is a serious threat to our liberties! That’s why Liberty Counsel is fighting back by issuing the Official Liberty Counsel “Right-wing Extremist” Card.
Carry The Card… Stand against Anti-Faith and Anti-American Bigotry
This laminated, wallet-sized card — personalized with your name — is a symbol of your rejection of the new Administration’s attacks against people of faith and those who support the core moral values that made our Nation great! We also want you have the phone number to our Liberty Counsel offices in your wallet or purse at all times…. in case you are confronted in any way by a government agent who is hostile to your faith or traditional values.

From Russia with ‘good-bye’ America
American capitalism gone with a whimper . . . . .
It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.
True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.
Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.
First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather than the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas than the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their “right” to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us (Russia) about our rights and about our “democracy”. Pride blinds the foolish.
Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different “branches and denominations” were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the “winning” side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the “winning” side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox (Russian Orthodox) churches are scandalously liberalized in America.
The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America’s short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more than another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.
These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more than ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?
These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.
Then came Barack Obama’s command that GM’s (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of “pure” free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.
So it should be no surprise that the American president has followed this up with a “bold” move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK’s Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our “wise” Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.
Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper…but a “freeman” whimper.
So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set “fair” maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.
The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.
The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.
